From Houston to San Antonio — 200 Miles for Kids

Coach Andrew Zamarripas, who leads the East End Eagles youth football program in Houston, set out to walk 200 miles to San Antonio to raise support for kids in youth sports. On day three, heat exhaustion and dehydration landed him in a Seguin hospital — but he got back up and crossed the finish line anyway, at South New Braunfels Avenue and Ada Street. The walk inspired thousands of supporters and raised real dollars for youth athletes back home.
